Pepperoni Bill's Pizzeria
Pepperoni Bill’s Pizzeria opened its doors in 2013 and is located on the Southwest corner of the Camdenton square in central Missouri’s popular Lake of the Ozarks area. The little 40 seat pizzeria is the lifelong dream of owner Bill Herholzer, who’s family moved from Chicago to the Lake area in the late ‘60’s. Bill says his goal is to offer authentic, hand-made Italian foods featuring the freshest and highest quality ingredients. Additional space next door has been acquired for expansion. PB’s features hand-tossed New York style and Chicago Tavern Style thin crust pizzas with dough made each day. Other “from-scratch” items include Italian beef, sausage and meatballs. The subs are served on fresh baked ciabatta and pitas. Bill even features gyros made with his own special blend of lamb, beef and spices. For those who desire lighter fare, fresh-cut wedge salads, pasta and Insalatas are also available. All sauces and dressings are in-house recipes. Bill even makes his own “Fresh Jalapeno Dust”, a tabletop condiment made from dehydrated and pulverized jalapenos peppers. This place is a real sleeper and a must see when visiting the Lake. The outside of the pizzeria gives no indication of what awaits inside. Bill designed the “shotgun” restaurant to mimic a Chicago alleyway (complete with a steaming manhole!) His background in masonry and graphic design helped create one of the most unique pizzerias found anywhere.
