Press & Port's Eatery
Press & Port’s Eatery is a new café in the heart of Jefferson City that serves a local roast coffee and boasts an amazing window view of the Missouri Capitol. Press & Port’s is in the former coffee house at 105 W High, Cafe Via Roma. The Dunham's purchased the cafe with hopes of keeping the tradition of Cafe via Roma but adding their own personal touch and new twists! The Press & Port's name is taken from their two children, Preslee and Porter. Owners, Derek and Angi, are no strangers to business. Derek was in the transportation industry as a freight broker and Angi was co-owner of an all-star cheerleading gym. In 2016, they were looking for a business that they two of them could do together as a family. Derek has always had a dream of owning a business and even studied restaurant management at the University of Missouri. #Eatdrinkhappy is the café theme as it’s lined with bright colors, unique decorations, and a staff that believes in learning regulars names. As a visitor to Jefferson City, you are invited to Press & Port’s for your your morning drink and to try their signature Cinnabites. Breakfast isn’t the only great thing about this café, they have a great mix of salads, sandwiches and wraps, and specialty bowls, soups, and flatbreads. State workers gather here before work, friends meet for lunch, or even school kids gather for a smoothie. In the spring and summer, outdoor seating looks directly over the Capitol lawn and is the best place to unwind after visiting the downtown shops. The café owners, Derek and Angi Dunham, opened Press & Port’s in December 2016. They invite you for a meal or drink and welcome event planners for catering options for their local events.
